Freelancing Begins - 2018
I began freelancing in 2018 in conjunction with my studies, both part and full time, and have continued to grow my small business since. I produce and edit digital content for a wide range of clients. This included editing videos, designing content for social media platforms, photography, creating motion graphic videos and much more. My cliental includes businesses, institutions and independent artists who seek to enhance their online visual presence, tell a story or collaborate on a creative project.
Masters Degree in Digital Media - 2020
Gained practical skills in softwares such as Adobe and took modules in Social and Digital Production, Data Analytics, Emerging Web Media, Interactive Digital Media, Multimedia Newsday and 3D Animation and Modelling. I also took theory inclusive modules such as Creative Practice, User Experience Design and Media Innovation.
Visual Designer - 2021
As the lead visual designer for Case BU, I was responsible for creative tasks within the team. This included web page design, packaging design, graphic design, print ad creation, video creation and product photography. During my time here I also lead the Packaging Task Force, an assembly of various colleagues within the business unit bringing their specialised solutions to packaging related issues.
Bachelors Degree in Film Studies - 2019
Completed a Bachelors majoring in Film Studies with other fields of study including German and History. Gained a high level of film theory knowledge as well as practical film making skills. Achieved a B1 level in German and completed numerous theoretical history modules, analysing various time periods.
I spent a semester abroad at Drexel University, Philadelphia during my Bachelors, studying Film and Video Production. Here, I was able to transfer my theoretical knowledge into practical experience with classes such as Video Editing, Directing for the Screen, Narrative Video Production and Visual FX for Editors.
Design and Media Creative - 2020
During my time with Beerwulf, a start-up with Heineken, I assisted the Brand and Campaign team with designing social media and paid promotion content. One of my main tasks was assisting with the development of a video content strategy for the company. Alongside an education in brand awareness and consistent design, I gained experience in video editing, graphic design and content management.
Márla Creative - 2022
I returned to freelancing full-time in early 2022. Since then I have been working with esteemed brands, influencers, artists and businesses worldwide, helping them bring their stories to life through visual design and video editing.
